Guys, I am in my third trimester. The final leg of this race. We only have 10 weeks left (aka an eternity) until we get to hold our little baby girl. It feels like just yesterday we were finding out I was pregnant!
It’s been a while since I’ve posted and I’ve missed posting and keeping you all updated! When I was around 12 weeks, 30 weeks seemed
So this week (on Tuesday), I went in for my glucose test and I got my whooping cough shot. To be honest, I was not looking forward to doing the glucose test. You have to fast all morning and are only allowed a few sips of water. Then they make you drink a very sugary drink, which drinking on an empty stomach kinda made me more nauseous.
It was a super thick syrup like drink that had a slight orange taste that will have me staying far away from Sunkist in the foreseeable future. Then I was to sit around for about an hour before they could draw blood to run the tests. I passed, but my iron was very low and they gave me a prescription for some iron pills.
But while I was waiting I got to hear my little baby which is always so amazing and makes me so happy!!! I love hearing her heartbeat I’m so grateful to hear that and it just makes this mama’s heart so happy!
The shot part of our doctor appointment was the funniest part of my day, maybe even my week. So it turns out I wasn’t the only person who needed to get the shot. Because Brandon didn’t have an up to date TDAP shot he also got to get one with me Tuesday.
For all those wondering, no it doesn’t hurt, your arm may be sore for a day or two after but that is completely normal. But while we were waiting, the nurses kept picking at Brandon making him think it was going to hurt, he’s not even scared of shots or needles (he has a whole sleeve done on his left arm) so I don’t even know why he got so worried and worked up but it really was the funniest thing to watch.
Other than that, it’s honestly been such a crazy week for us, on top of my lack of sleep and my emotions going all over the place I’m very excited to do a whole lot of nothing this upcoming weekend. But I do have another Gossip post planned for this week so fingers crossed I get that up Friday.
I also wanna do a whole mommy-to-be post about the highs and lows of my pregnancy including what I’m scared for and what I find myself feeling guilty about in this journey I’ve been on the last seven months or so.
We are also currently officially in prep mode for D-day (as Brandon likes to call it.) The list for what all will need to go in the hospital bag is being made, all the baby’s things are being put into place and somewhat organized. I’m trying to hold off the urge to nest completely until after my baby shower when we get the last little bit of things we need for baby girl, but it is proving to be a challenge. I just want to get everything done and have her here and with me already.
These next ten weeks are going to feel like the slowest weeks of my life, I know everyone keeps telling me it will fly by but I just can’t wait anymore, but I know I need to. Little baby’s got a little bit more cooking to do until she can make her appearance into the world.
With all that being said I’m going to end this post here because I know I’m just rambling at this point (mommy/ pregnancy brain is such a real thing). I hope you all enjoyed my all over the place recap of me diving head first into my third trimester! xx
