If you follow me on Instagram (which you totally should) I mentioned Friday no blog post was going up due to the three hour drive my and Bradon head ahead of us. We decided to take a weekend and pretty much unplug from everything back home.

We got there around 10-10:30 and I got to meet one of Brandon’s closest childhood friends and a few other amazing people. Not much happened the first night besides everyone catching up and them all doing quite a bit of drinking before I claimed 2:30 to be well past my bedtime, LOL!

Saturday was a day of absolute laziness and I loved it. We made a variety of different finger foods and then all gathered in the living room to watch both football games that were on that day. I’m not much a football fan but I love to see people get so into things they’re passionate about so I truly didn’t mind one bit.

Sunday was started with brunch and mocktails (for me at least) and then followed by a trip to the aquarium. I love going to places like aquariums and zoos so I obviously had a great time. Brandon had a great time looking at the snakes (lol yuck). After that, I won’t lie, I really cannot for the life of me remember what we did. Thank you pregnancy brain.

We did go to dinner around 5-5:30 at the super nice place in Beaufort. It was a cute little restaurant that sits right one the water. It was pricey but we wanted to go somewhere nice for our last night there. We left straight from dinner and drove the three hours home making it back right around 10.

It was a lovely little weekend away from home and after the hustle and bustle of the holidays, it was very much needed. Personal time away from everything is nice but spending it with my sweetie made it much better.

With love,

Brittany Michelle
