Girl Boss Vibes

December 10, 2017
Hey y’all for this post I’m handing out tips tricks and over all advice on being a total girl boss.
As I mentioned in my last post (you can read it here) I got a new job. I’ve had it for a little while or so. And in this short span of time I’ve really branched out and become more of my own person and started seeing myself as the adult I’ve been claims I am.
I work full time so Im getting about 40 hours a week. I set up a payment plan for bills and money I needed to spend on things like gas and food while have a hefty amount to go in my savings. Because of me keeping on this budget I was able to get myself a new phone which was badly needed and as of yesterday I now own a car in my own name.
I don’t know what it is about getting something on your own for your first time that makes you a bit giddy. I wanted to shout I was so happy yesterday. Now let’s get into the good part ladies. How to be your own girl boss. Now while this term is so commonly used let’s give it a definition.
So what is a Girl Boss? It’s someone who is in charge of her own life. She gets what she wants because she works for it. She takes action and then responsibly for those actions. She is fierce and strong and full of fire. And she is you.
That’s my first and most important piece of advice. Never let anyone tell you you can’t even yourself. Build your empire and prove to everyone that a queen is still a queen with our without a king. I know if there’s one thing I’m willing to bet on it’s myself. I was tired of the waiting and telling myself I would do it tomorrow or Friday or this weekend or next week. So I took charge and it’s made me so happy.
Sure it’s not easy all the time but when is anything easy all the time?? Another thing is to be incredibly confident. Be bossy. Be the badass girl you were to lazy to be yesterday. Tip number two (unofficially lol) is to be organized it’s important to know what’s going on, the when who where why and how’s of your day is something you need to stay on top of. It makes a world of difference.
Also time management! Do things to help with your time management skills like setting deadlines, remove distractions, only take on what you can handle, and stop multitasking. When you master getting things done on time or even before they need to be done it takes stress off of you like you wouldn’t believe.
Another girl boss too is to inspire people. Be it one person or hundreds. If I can inspire at least one person in a week to do better in school or work harder or try more to be social and active in their community or just try and become a better person for themselves then I know I’ve done the best I could.
Embrace being bossy! I used to hate being told I was bossy when I was younger it was said in a bad way. But I’ve learned and grew up and realized I love it. Being told I’m bossy in my mind is like being told I have leadership skills. I take charge of a situation because I know what needs to be done and I know how to do it. So embrace being bossy. The world needs more girls who don’t turn and hide face at the thought of being in charge.
All in all being a girl boss begins and ends with you. You have to believe in yourself before anyone else will. It also won’t happen over night. It’s something you work for and strive to accomplish because you want to. It’s not about money or success although those things are nice they should’ve be the focus of your drive. Work to better yourself. Work for YOU to be a better you.
I hope y’all enjoy these tidbits of things I’ve taken from trying to build my own empire and put them towards your own!

-with love Brittany Michelle
